Don't Control, Just Rock & Roll
Have any of you got the chance to watch Puzzle? If you haven't do watch it, there was this line that literally clears so many things; this line where Robert says to Mata that Life is messy doesn't make any goddamn sense. Life's just- Random; everything's random. There's nothing we can do to control anything.
Aren't we always trying to control our lives? Be it our emotions or actions. We want everything to be what we desire, and if it doesn't happen that way, we get sad and often say ki meri zindagi toh mere hisaab se chl hi nhi rhi bhagwan.
In a world that may appear to move with precision and predetermined steps, life actually unfolds more like a spontaneous symphony, where chaos and unpredictability create the melody.
Life's randomness is like a GPS that takes you on a scenic route without asking. 'Turn left,' it says, leading you straight into a cow pasture. Thanks, GPS, I always wanted to meet Daisy." Was is it a bad joke? My sense of humor is a bit kaam chalau types.
Anyway, let's stay focused. Our point was that life is unpredictable, much like a river, and no matter how much you try, you cannot control it by setting boundaries around yourself or the situations you encounter. Only a few things occur as per our desires or plans.
But but but, when you complete a puzzle, when you finish it you know that you have made all the right choices. No matter how many wrong pieces you tried to fit into the wrong place, but at the very end. It all comes together as one perfect picture, and that's what matters right, coz everything's well that ends well
This really struck me like demnnnn .
So, sometimes in order to end up in the right place, you may have to go through the wrong place first. However, I'm not saying that this is always the case. It is more likely to happen in situations where everything seems to be going wrong. Aur yr Mr Pankaj tripathi the famous actor says that he got the chance to act because his father who was a farmer could not afford to buy a tractor. If he had bought it at that time, Pankaj Tripathi would have been a farmer right now and not an actor. Toh kbhi kbhi kuch glt hone do shayad whi apke liye shi hai.
I spoke about this topic with my mother, and she proposed a counter that parents need to control their children so that they don't lead them to the wrong paths and get into trouble. I completely agree with her, and for this, one needs to know the difference between guidance and control. It's about nurturing and supporting a child's individuality while providing a moral and ethical compass. Allow children to make choices and decisions appropriate to their age. By guiding them through choices, parents empower their children to navigate life's puzzles on their own.
Remember, the goal is to raise independent, responsible individuals who can navigate life's challenges.
And I would not say go with the flow because I personally feel that's a really unpractical thing to do now and is only good for the ears. If you had asked me this some time ago, I would probably have said the opposite because I was in my la la land and going with the flow used to be my thing. But not now, for sure.
You need to plan things, yes, but you need to be flexible with it. If one thing does not happen, you have a million other options. Okay, now what's the solution for all this? It's pretty simple. Gaur Gopal Das says that one should have two sections in their mind to segregate the things that are in control and the ones that are not. If you know something is in control, you can do something about it. But if it's not in control, then there's no point in worrying about it. Just let it go. There's something better written for you, for sure.
As we come to the end of Manya Mingle Episode 7, "Don't Control Just Rock and Roll," I'd like to say...
Bad chapters still lead to good stories,
wrong paths can still lead to right places,
Failed dreams can still create successful people.
Sometimes it takes loosing yourself to find yourself
And, of course, a huge shoutout to all of you amazing folks who took the time to drop me messages on Instagram. Your support means the world to me! So don't control jut rock and roll kyunki tum sab bhaukal ho meri jaan.
